Las Vegas is known as the “World’s entertainment capital” known for gambling, nightlife, dining, and entertainment. It is a city that never sleeps, constantly evolving to redefine the boundaries of entertainment, dining, and nightlife. No doubt, its my favorite city of USA.

From the opulent resorts and world-class shows to the lively casinos and gastronomic delights, Las Vegas is a famous city of USA that captivates the senses and leaves an indelible mark on all who venture into its glittering embrace.

So, read on as we embark on a journey through the enchanting streets of Las Vegas, where every moment is an opportunity to discover the extraordinary and experience the extraordinary.

Las Vegas is not only just about casinos and hotels, it’s also about a gateway to many natural wonders and amazing road trips in the West. So, even if you’re not a gambler, it should be on your USA Bucket List !

Often referred to as “Sin City,” there are so many things to choose from, planning your Las Vegas itinerary can be super overwhelming!

To help with planning the perfect Las Vegas gateway, I can say 4 day in Las Vegas is the perfect amount of time to do some gambling, see a show, and take in the top attractions in Vegas and taking few day trips for adventure lovers!  

Here’s how to spend a perfect 4 days in Las Vegas Itinerary, for adventure lovers and all the essential info that you need to plan an unforgettable trip.

Practical Information for 4 Day Las Vegas Itinerary

How to Get to Las Vegas

Las Vegas is served by the Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) – previously the McCarran International Airport. The airport is situated centrally at the south end of the Strip. 

You can connect to Las Vegas airport from the majority of cities in the United States. Direct flights are available from certain international destinations such as the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, and Mexico. But many times, its cheaper to transfer via an alternative United States airport. 

How To Get From Airport To Las Vegas City Center

Many hotels in Vegas offers shuttles services for the airport, if not you can avail Lyft or UBER to get to the city center.

Alternatively, you can book a Private Transfer or if you want to arrive in Vegas in style, you can even opt for a Private Luxury Limousine service!

If your 4 days in Las Vegas itinerary is part of a wider road trip through USA , than you can drive to the city from Los Angeles or Phoenix in around 5 hours! We drove from LA to Las Vegas during our trip to Las Vegas.

Best Time to Visit Las Vegas

Las Vegas is situated between Nevada desert and it remains extremely hot during the summer season!

Officially, the best time to visit Las Vegas is between March and May and from September to November.

Spring (March to May): Mild temperatures and blooming landscapes make spring a popular time to visit.

Keep in mind that spring break in the United States usually takes place in March/April, around Easter. So, if you want to avoid the crowds, avoid traveling to Vegas during those two weeks.

Fall (September to November): Similar to spring, fall offers pleasant temperatures, but it can be windy at times. But overall, its best time to visit Vegas as crowds can be thinner as summer holidays be over.

Summer (June to August): Las Vegas can be extremely hot during these months, with temperatures often exceeding 100°F (38°C). If you can handle the heat, this is also when pool parties and outdoor events are in full swing and casinos will give you reprieve from the heat.

Also, during Summer time for your 4 days in Las Vegas would be on the plus side, resorts will be quieter and you will find deals on accommodation and tours.

In summary, the spring and fall are generally considered the best times to visit for a balance of pleasant weather and manageable crowds to spend in Las Vegas without Gambling ! Also, Weekdays generally have fewer crowds than weekends. Avoid major holidays and large conventions if you prefer a quieter experience.

How to Get around Las Vegas

Las Vegas offers various transportation options to help you get around the city and its very easy to get around your 4 day long weekend Las Vegas trip.Like most big cities of USA, Las Vegas offers taxi cabs, Uber, and Lyft rideshare. 

• Walking : The Las Vegas Strip is very much pedestrian-friendly, and many of the major resorts and attractions are within walking distance of each other. For me, Walking is a great way to explore the iconic Strip and take in the sights and you won’t miss any of the iconic Las Vegas attractions found along it !  
• The Deuce Bus: For long-distance attractions, you might need the transportation and the Deuce Bus is main Bus service for your 4-day Vegas trip. The Deuce offers two routes that are specifically for the tourist areas of The Strip and downtown. The Downtown Loop is a free shuttle that also includes an opportunity to stop at the Arts District.

You can buy 2-hour pass, 24-hour pass, or 3-day pass from the kiosks on the strip. There are a lot of stops all along the Strip that drop you close to the major resorts and attractions. Check out the route online.

• Free Monorail: There are two free monorails; one runs between The Mirage and Treasure Island and the other runs between Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay.
• Las Vegas Monorail: The Las Vegas Monorail runs along the back of the strip from MGM up to Bally’s. It was closed when we visited, so don’t have experience of it.
• Taxis: Taxis are all over Vegas and of course, the cost varies depending on traffic and distance. Ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft are available in the City. Drivers are only allowed to use the designated pick-up and drop-off areas in Vegas so make sure you enter the closest physical address before hailing a ride.
• Rental Car: I would not recommend renting a car during your time in Las Vegas unless you are renting it for the day trips or you’re road-tripping around the USA. Also, keep in mind that parking on the Strip can be expensive, and traffic congestion is common during peak times.
• Hop on Hop Off Sightseeing Tour : If you don’t want to take pain any of all above and want to explore at your own pace, book the Big Bus hop on hop off tour. This open-top double-decker Big Bus will take you to the iconic landmarks of Las Vegas strip and Hop on and off the bus as much as you like.

So try to get rental car when you finish your Vegas strip and downtown sightseeing as you might have to pay for Parking at your hotel too! It will depend on the Resort/Hotel you book so check the terms before you book it.

Parking spots around the Strip are expensive and limited. So I highly recommend getting around the Strip and Downtown Las Vegas by a combination of walking, using Deuce, and hailing rideshares.

How Expensive is Las Vegas Travel?

Is Las Vegas expensive or how much do I need to save to be able to book a trip to Las Vegas are common questions among travelers. The cost of hotels might be high during weekends, so try to avoid the weekends. But you’ll find hotels from every kind of budget in Vegas and it’s not that expensive if you plan ahead!

Also, there are tones of free things to do in Vegas without breaking the bank which I am covering in this 4 day Las Vegas Itinerary! If you don’t intend on spending too much money on gambling, you can expect to pay around $100-120 a day if you: stick to the budget hotels on the strip, enjoy the free attractions, eat at chain restaurants, and avoid room service. 

Ultimately, the cost of visiting Las Vegas can vary depending on various factors, including your lifestyle, accommodation choices, entertainment preferences, and dining habits.

The ideal duration for a stay in Las Vegas depends on your interests, the activities you plan to do, and whether you’ve visited before. Las Vegas is very pretty city and there are so many things to do in Vegas, but 4 day in Las Vegas is ideal time to experience the city.

Kicking off your 4-day Las Vegas itinerary, by making your way towards exploring the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

Start at the south end at the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign and make your way north to explore a plethora of attractions that this world-famous destination has to offer.

Kick off your your 4 day Las Vegas Itinerary by visiting Las Vegas Sign first thing in the Morning. Everyone wants their picture with the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign !!

Proudly welcoming visitors to Sin City since 1959, getting a close look at the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign is a must on every Las Vegas itinerary! Plus it’s free to visit and who doesn’t love visiting free things!

It’s located at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip and you might pass it as you drive into the city or leave the airport.

This sign is an easy first stop in your 4 days in Las Vegas and the best free things to do in Las Vegas. But keep in mind that this is one of the most popular things to do in Las Vegas, so waiting in line to take a photo is common during the day! I recommend that you visit early in the morning to avoid the crowd.

Grab a cab or Uber and head south of the airport to the iconic sign. 

The “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign is in the middle of the road, so be careful when crossing! Don’t miss this best photo spot of Las Vegas!

Explore the famous Las Vegas Strip

After grabbing some amazing photos at the sign, head north on the strip to the next stop. Las Vegas Strip is one of the most famous streets in the United States.

Once you will arrive the reason why Vegas is so much famous! You’ll see iconic structures from around the world like the Pyramid, the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and more!

If you don’t know each casino on the Vegas Strip offers some unique attractions to attract tourists! In this 4 day Las Vegas Itinerary, I am including places from the southern end of the strip to way up north while stopping at famous photo spots and places along the way.

The Strip can easily take all day or may be more, so take your time and soak up in the glitz of it!

Best Things to Do on Las Vegas Strip

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

On Las Vegas strip, you’ll find all Casinos ranging from typical resorts to world landmark’s style architecture! Your first stop on the Las Vegas strip is Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. It has tropical south seas theme featuring numerous fountains throughout the property!

But most exciting is hotel lobby features two story Aquarium with more than 2,000 animals and offers an interactive glimpse into some of the ocean’s most fascinating creatures.

You can visit Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay to dive into the underwater world of exotic marine life ! To take our Las Vegas experience a level higher level, book the Shark Reef Shark Feed Tour. This guided tour not only gives you exclusive access to explore behind-the-scenes how sharks feed but also allows you to feed the sharks!

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Luxor

What if I say, you can visit Egyptian Pyramids in United States! Yes, that’s right and that too in Las Vegas !!

The pyramid-shaped hotel is the Luxor, and its architecture style is Ancient Egypt with the pyramid-shaped complex being decorated with giant sphinxes and obelisks. You can visit the hotel for free and take photos !

Once you’re finished, you can visit two exhibitions that are located on the grounds of the Luxor Hotel & Casino.

Titanic The Art Exhibition is an immersive displays over 250 authentic artifacts recovered from the wreck site of the infamous ocean liner, 1912 Titanic shipwreck. These items are presented in replicas of the ship’s Grand Staircase and passenger cabins as well as a large fragment of the ocean liner’s original hull. 

It also features recreations of famous rooms from the ship to give visitors a realistic feeling of what it was like aboard during its short maiden voyage. I found this exhibit both haunting and fascinating.

Not for the faint-hearted, Bodies The Exhibition showcases 13 whole-body human specimens and around 260 organs that have been meticulously dissected. Conceived to provide an in-depth look into our anatomy, the exhibition is a celebration of the human body and is respectfully exhibited. 

Excalibur Hotel & Casino

Continuing the theme places during your 4 day Las Vegas trip, the Excalibur Hotel & Casino is your next sight!

Known for distinct architecture like medieval castle, the white fortress is topped with blue, red, and golden turrets and surrounded by a moat. This is easily one of beautiful Photo spots ib KLas Vegas.

You will get the best views as you cross the pedestrian bridge from from the Luxor Hotel. Once on the grounds, spend a little time taking pictures and then you can visit the Fun Dungeon.

That’s the arcade room at the hotel with all the classic video and target games where you can shoot, race, and play to your heart’s content. It is perfect spot to visit with kids in Las Vegas.

New York, New York Hotel & Big Apple Coaster

As you leave the Europe theme, you will find yourself in New York! New York, New York Hotel is an attraction in itself as like other Las Vegas hotels.

You will see the Big Apple with replicas of the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building, and the Manhattan skyline. Once inside, you feel as though you have been transported to the city street of New York with lots of places to eat and drink with a New York theme.

If you are thrill seeker, Big Apple Coaster at New York, New York Hotel is must visit attraction on Las Vegas strip. It is the world’s first roller coaster to feature a 180-degree “heartline” twists that that offers an adrenaline rush like no other. It is thrilling addition in your 4 day in Las Vegas Itinerary.

The ride begins with a steep incline that provides fantastic views of the strip before going down into twists, turns, and drops.

The Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas

When you enter in the heart of Las Vegas strip, you just can’t miss the Eiffel Tower.

Located within the Paris Las Vegas hotel complex, the Eiffel Tower Las Vegas is a half-size replica of the one that you will find in Paris that looms 46 stories above the Strip !

You can make this a quick stop if all you want to do is take a picture of the tower and the Champs Elysses. 

You will find the best views of the Eiffel Tower from in front of the Arc de Triomphe (another of the city’s European replicas!) or from the back of the Bellagio Fountain.

Visiting the Eiffel Tower on the strip is one of the best free things to do in Las Vegas in 4 days. But if you want If you want to spend some more time here you can visit the observation deck. You can ride the 46-stories of the Eiffel Tower to get an epic view of the Las Vegas Strip.

I would suggest visiting it in evening as there is a restaurant atop and you’ll get the best Las Vegas Strip views with dinner which is one the best romantic things to do in Las Vegas.

Bellagio Fountain Show

Now just cross the street from Paris Hotel via Bridge and you’ll reach to the Bellagio Hotel.

One of the best free things to do in Las Vegas is to watch the show in evening. The Bellagio Fountain is a complex network of water features that is located in fronts of The Bellagio Hotel & Casino.

The main attraction at the Bellagio Hotel is the epic fountain show that takes place every 30 minutes right on the Las Vegas Strip! The fountains are synchronized to the music and the songs change throughout the day as like Burj Khalifa Fountain Show in Dubai.

The choreographed show takes place Monday to Friday every 30 minutes from 3 PM to 7 PM and every 15 minutes from 7 PM to 12 AM. On weekends and public holidays, it takes place every 30 minutes from 12 PM to 7 PM and every 15 minutes from 7 PM to 12 AM.

When seeing the best of Vegas in 4 days, you will get to watch the show many times while walking along the strip! Also, each show is unique so if you’re passing from here anytime, its always worth to stop here! I must say it is one of the best things to do in Vegas at Night!

Volcano Eruption at the Mirage

As you walk straight little further down the strip, you’ll find the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

One of the most memorable and free attractions in Las Vegas at the Mirage is Volcano, yes a Volcano show !

This is a large water feature located in front of The Mirage which erupts every evening with lights, music, and fire.

Shows take place daily every hour between 7 PM to 11 PM. It’s free to watch, which makes it one of the best things to do in Vegas besides gambling in your 4 day Las Vegas Itinerary.

Gambling: Highlight of Vegas at Night

While you are in Las Vegas, you must have to experience the Vegas at the Night!

Almost all the resorts and Hotels of Las Vegas are equipped with their own Casinos and Nightclubs and Las Vegas strip is famous for it in the world!

Las Vegas casinos offer a wide range of games, including slot machines, table games (such as blackjack, roulette, and craps) poker rooms, and sports betting. Most Las Vegas casinos operate 24/7, providing continuous gaming and entertainment options.

When you gamble on the Las Vegas Strip, you drink for free! A cocktail server will be walking around asking you if you would like anything as long as you are actively playing.

Day-2 of 4 day Las Vegas Itinerary: Las Vegas Strip+ Las Vegas Downtown & Pool Party

On day 2 of 4 days in Las Vegas, you’ll explore Northern side of Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas. I divided exploring the strip for two days as few places may get crowded later during the day!

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

You watched the fountain show earlier night at Bellagio, today early morning head to Bellagio Hotel. Just cross the Lobby area of the hotel and you’ll reach Bellagio Conservatory & Gardens.

This indoor Garden is renowned for its elaborate and wide displays of flowers, plants, and decorative elements. The displays at the conservatory are created using natural plant materials and change with the seasons!

The garden themes are diverse and can range from traditional seasonal motifs (such as spring, summer, fall, and winter) to more exotic and creative themes inspired by cultures and celebrations from around the world. It is particularly more beautiful during thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

You can visit this Botanical Gardens for free and take as many photos you want before the crowd arrives later during the day!

Trevi Fountain & The Forum Shops at Caesar

Las Vegas is filled with European-style architecture and while you walk around the strip, stop by Trevi Fountain.

Trevi Fountain of Las Vegas is a direct replica of the original fountain of Rome but a little smaller in size than a Roman landmark, makes the best photo spots in Las Vegas.

If you want to do shopping in Las Vegas, then check out the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace located at the entrance of Trevi Fountain. It is one of the best malls in Las Vegas to check out the designer labels!

The mall is known for its impressive architecture and design, inspired by ancient Roman and Greek themes. It resemble like the streets of ancient Rome, complete with replicas of famous landmarks, marble columns, water features and frescoes etc.

Also, while you visit the Forum Shop, must check out the spiral escalator! This unique escalator design is not only functional but also adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the mall.

The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat

Walk from manmade architecture to natural Flamingo habitat at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino.

The Flamingo has a distinctive pink and white color scheme, and the hotel’s theme is tropical and flamboyant, with lush gardens, waterfalls, and a wildlife habitat.

The Wildlife Habitat comprises four acres of land where Chilean Flamingos roam alongside Brown Pelicans and other exotic birds, swans, ducks, and koi fish. It’s great spot to be with nature during your 4 day in Las Vegas Itinerary.

The Wildlife Habitat is located across the street from the shops at Cesar and its free to visit, makes Perfect free things to do in Las Vegas.

The LINQ Promenade

As you walk further North on Las Vegas Strip, you will come across The LINQ Hotel. The hotel is known for the LINQ Promenade, a bustling hub of shops, places to eat, and entertainment options.

You can visit the hotel, click the Photos and shopping on the street. But LINQ Promenade is famous for High Roller!.

This Ferris wheel is so unique because it fits 50+ people per pod! You can either buy tickets to just enjoy the view, or you can buy the VIP package that includes open bar during the duration of the ride. You can get pricing and more information here.

Gondola Rides at Venetian Resort Las Vegas

To feel the grandeur of Italy in the heart of Las Vegas in USA, head to Venetian Hotel & Resort! If you’re looking for an incredible luxury hotel in Vegas, The Venetian is a top choice. However, you can visit the complex as a tourist even though you stay elsewhere.

In the resort complex, you will find the replicas of the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Campanile, and the Doge’s Palace. You can see that architecture of Venetian resort resembles closely to the architecture of Venice!

Take your time to wander around, take best Instagram able photos in Las Vegas and window shopping at Grand Canal Shoppers. Now, take your time to relax on Gondola and cruise along the water.

Floating through the canals, you will go under bridges and beside cafes as you make your way through the hotel.

These can be pricey, but even if you don’t feel like spending the money on the ride itself, you should still go see the lagoon either way. So, don’t forget this classy touristy experience in your 4 day Las Vegas Itinerary!

Book your Gondola Ride Tickets Here! It includes tickets to Madame Tussauds Museum as well. Take note that you have two choices when booking your gondola ride, an indoor ride or an outdoor ride. Just make sure to pick the one that you have your heart set on.

Relax at One of the Iconic Pool Party

There’s no better way to soak up the Las Vegas sun than by lounging at one of the amazing pools and attending iconic Pool parties!

The pools in Las Vegas turn into daytime clubs as DJs play music, bartenders serve up delicious cocktails, and everyone is dressed to impress in their best swimwear!  

You can find at least one pool party every day in Las Vegas. 

Some of the best Pool parties in Vegas happen at the Wet Republic at MGM Grand, Rehab Beach Club at the Hard Rock, and Encore Beach Club at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Boulevard Pool at Cosmopolitan. 

Most Vegas resorts sell Pool passes so that you can visit even if you’re not staying at the resort. If you want to party a bit more, consider visiting one of the Vegas Day Clubs or Pool Parties!

It is home to several classic and iconic casinos, including the Golden Nugget, Binion’s Gambling Hall, The D Las Vegas, and the Four Queens. These casinos often have a more historic and vintage feel compared to the mega-resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.

This area of Las Vegas is the very opposite of Las Vegas strip! You can expect art murals on every corner, old school hotels & casinos, Bars, and VERY naked street performers!

Insider tip : If you want to stay on budget in Las Vegas, try to stay in Downtown Las Vegas, hotels are cheaper here than Las Vegas Strip!

Freemont Street is an unique experience! The entire street is covered in a canopy that contains 12 million LED lights! It’s fun to take a wander around the area at dusk and the early evening!

This alone is very unique as it is the largest audio-video light show in the world, yes you heard it right! You can witness the 6-minute light show for yourself every hour. 

Apart from the show taking place over your head, this area of Las Vegas also boasts a Slot Zilla Zip Line that allows visitors to soar over the crowd below! 

The Fremont Street Experience is truly like a big street party ! You will see free concerts happening in the street, historic casinos, naked street performers lining the walkway, and bars selling fat Tuesday drinks (the frozen yard drinks). It is like a wild party experience!!

After checking out Fremont Street, begin your bar-hopping excursion! Ladies enter for free in all these bars, and most of them guys will need to pay a cover to get in.

Lake Mead is located in the east side of Vegas towards Hoover dam.

Along the way, you can pull over to take in views of the beautiful Lake Mead, a massive reservoir that was formed as a result of the dam.

Follow the Lakeshore Road and be ready to pull over at the various Overlooks that dot the western banks of the lake.

Lake Mead overlook provides a panoramic view of the lake and is a great spot for photography. The Sunset View Scenic Overlook is stunning and only requires a 0.5 mile (0.8 km) hike from the parking lot.
