Jodhpur – The Sun City or Blue City located in the Rajasthan State of India that takes away the rejoicing of all the travelers. As everyone knows Rajasthan is famous for its rich heritage, Palaces, Forts, unique culture, bustling cities, and shopping, Jodhpur is also not exceptional. In fact, it is the 2nd largest city in Rajasthan and the 10th most popular tourist destination in the world. Yes, you hear it Right!!!! Here is my pick for the  Best Places to visit in Jodhpur in 2 days:

Day 1 of 2 Days Jodhpur itinerary

Visit Mehran Fort

The most exquisite site in Jodhpur, the Mehrangarh fort is one of the Best Places to visit in Jodhpur. It is one of the largest forts in India built by Rao Jodha and stands on a perpendicular Cliff in Jodhpur city.

It is the most impressive architecture in India. At the entrance of the Fort, there is Chhatri (cenotaphs) of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot defending the Mehrangarh fort.

There is a total of 7 gates and a museum inside the Mehrangarh fort. There are Royal rooms, paintings, and Palanquins used for the transportation of Royal ladies, Phool Mahal, Shish Mahal, and a lot of Balconies.

My favorite was the Phool Mahal and the Shish Mahal. The ceiling is in gold filigree and mirror, with its delicate colors, golden sheen, stained glass windows, and screens; it is undoubtedly the grandest room in Mehrangarh fort.

After exploring the fort, take a walk through Chamunda Devi temple beside the fort complex where you can have a panoramic view of Jodhpur City and one cannot take your eyes off it. You can get an idea of why it is known as the Blue city.
