How to Experience Jodhpur in 2 days?

Jodhpur – The Sun city or Blue City located in the Rajasthan State of India that takes away the rejoice of all the travellers. As everyone knows Rajasthan is famous for its rich heritage, Palaces, Forts, unique culture, bustling cities and shopping, Jodhpur is also not exceptional. In fact, it is the 2nd largest city of Rajasthan and 10th most popular tourist destination in the world. Yes you hear it Right!!!!

Here is my pick for the best things to do in Jodhpur in two days:

Day 1 :

1.Visit to Mehran Fort

The most exquisite site in Jodhpur, the Mehrangarh fort. It is one of the largest fort in India built by Rao Jodha stands on perpendicular Cliff in Jodhpur city. It is the most impressive architecture in India. At the entrance of the Fort there is Chhatri (cenotaphs) of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot defending the Mehrangarh fort.

There are total 7 gates and a museum inside the Mehrangarh fort. There are Royal rooms, paintings and Palanquins used for transportation of Royal ladies, Phool Mahal, Shish Mahal and lot of Balconies. My favourite were Phool Mahal and Shish Mahal. The ceiling are in gold filigree and mirror, with its delicate colors, golden sheen, stained glass windows and screens; it is undoubtedly the grandest room in Mehrangarh fort.

After exploring the fort, take a walk through Chamunda Devi temple beside the fort complex where you can have a panoramic view of the Jodhpur City and one cannot take eyes off from it. You can get the idea why it is known as the Blue city.
